UNITED FRIENDS OF HOMELESS ANIMALS
The shelter is open by appointment only for the time being. Please call the shelter, (315) 298-4733, to set up an appointment.
For health and safety reasons, our spay and neuter grant program is on hold indefinitely. We will update when that gets going again.
Our current needs: kitten foster homes!
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update!! We are temporarily closed.
While we are an essential entity, for the safety and well-being of everyone involved we have made the hard decision to close down to volunteers for an undetermined period of time. We will re-open to volunteers when we deem it to be safe based on the recommendations of health officials.
*we may have continued needs for foster homes. If you would be interested, please fill out our adoption application but in the spot where it asks who you might want to adopt- please put FOSTER- (dog, puppies, cat, kittens) and list any you would be willing to foster. As fosters are needed, Kate will contact the folks who have completed an application to foster!
These are unprecedented times for UFHA- no volunteers, no events, and our Thrift Store is closed (all of which means we will be way down on human-labor and monetary donations). We appreciate all of your support and flexibility as we figure out how to navigate it all!
Our goal is to rescue and find loving, caring homes for any abused, neglected, abandoned cat or dog. We are also committed to create awareness in our community of animal abuse and neglect and to educate people on the importance of spaying and neutering.
Have you ever thought about how much you could change things just by volunteering?
Even just one day a month will help, please call us 315-298-4733
